Sheffield Suicide Prevention Pathway

The Sheffield Suicide Prevention Pathway is designed to help anyone in Sheffield respond to and offer signposting/referral information to someone they may be concerned about, whether that person is a friend, colleague, client, or customer and is based on the approach supported by the Zero Suicide Alliance.

The Pathway is useful for everyone to know about. It’s been designed by healthcare professionals and people with lived experience. It is updated periodically to ensure that everything is up to date and it has recently been reviewed and updated.

What is a ‘pathway’?

A ‘pathway’ in health settings shows a process of best practice to be followed in the treatment of a person with particular needs. In this case, the pathway is aimed at anyone who is currently feeling suicidal.
