Talking saves lives
Every week, one person dies by suicide in Sheffield.
Our campaign #TalkingSavesLives aims to change this by encouraging people to talk about how they are feeling when they are struggling. That first conversation, asking for help, can make every bit of difference to someone who is thinking about ending their life.

Who are we?
This site is for anyone who’s having suicidal thoughts or feelings, or who’s worried about someone else. You can use it to search for local and national help, support and information, as well as specific support around bereavement (and there are also learning and training resources).
Our charity built this website from the ground up, in partnership with Sheffield City Council, by collaborating with local people who have experienced suicidal thoughts.

Through one-to-one conversations short personal stories have been created, aiming to spread awareness around suicide, and break down stigma. This story was part of this project that was funded by Sheffield City Council.
